Do you know what TLA stands for?
Three…Letter…Acronym.
We love TLAs in digital media: SEO, SEM, DSP, IBV, UGC…just to mention a few. So, here’s my advice for when you hear one spoken and don’t know what it means. When that happens, pause the conversation, then simply say the following: “Sorry, you just used an acronym and I want to make sure I know what that means. Can you tell me?”
Acronyms can be scary things. Technologists and sellers alike use them so easily that you can feel stupid if you stop and ask what they mean. But force yourself to do it. Which leads me to my second point about TLAs.
